Location: Primarily in-person (1625 Blalock Rd. Houston TX, 77080)
Pay rate: $18
Department Description: MAM Reception helps individuals and families in need to meet their basic needs through access to various MAM programs and services as well as those available through community partners. The reception team greets clients and connects them to MAM programs such as Financial Assistance, Employment Services, Financial Education, Mental Health Counseling, Client Navigation, Immigration Legal Services, English Language and Citizenship, disaster recovery services, etc. The reception also announces the arrival of clients and visitors and provides certain services. Work closely with the Director of Community Partnerships to support, schedule, report, and support the day-to-day operations of certain community partners.
Duties and responsibilities:
· Onsite support to community partners.
· Schedule and report community partners' events and campaigns.
· Greet clients and visitors when they arrive and announce their arrivals as needed.
· Provide information and resources to clients seeking assistance or services.
· Perform initial screening for those seeking appointments for public benefits application assistance, collect their contact information, and provide them with a list of necessary documents, as well as information about the next steps.
· Provide vouchers and supplies to those who qualify.
· Schedule public benefits and basic assistance appointments for those who qualify.
· Stays up-to-date with all MAM programs and services.
· Gather complete and accurate information and accurately enter it into our database.
· Maintain efficient and professional operations of the front office and lobby.
Place reminder calls for appointments or special events.
Return calls as well as respond to emails sent to general lines and inboxes.
Perform data entry and process paperwork as required.
Train other staff or volunteers as needed.
Keep front office, lobby, and common areas tidy.
Keep flyer rack in the lobby fully stoked at all times.
Receive immigration legal client payments, and submit them to accounting every week.
Provides assistance to programs and staff at satellite locations as needed.
Unlock parking lot gates in the mornings.
Unlock lobby doors during front office business hours and lock them after closing.
Performs general administrative and clerical duties, such as copying, scanning, data entry, etc.
Process assistance in times of disaster.
Other duties as required.

Excellent organizational, verbal, and written skills
Interest, ability, and or experience working with volunteers.
HS diploma or equivalent
1 year experience in customer service, scheduling, reception, etc. preferred.
Excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, email, Internet, database, etc.
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (read, write, and conversation) preferred.
Flexible to occasionally work in the evening and/or weekends to accommodate the needs of MAM.
Regularly available between the hours of 8:00am-5pm Monday-Friday
Able to work remotely based on business needs or during times of a disaster.
Have fast internet service at home.

Working Conditions/ Work Environment:
Primary work location is a climate-controlled indoor office environment
Provide own reliable transportation with proof of valid driver’s license and TX minimum requirements of auto insurance.
