Department Description: Entrepreneurship program coordinator supports the mission of MAM by means of a holistic approach toward achieving self-sufficiency by providing business development services through the Rising Tide model and curriculum to educate, coach, and help individuals start and grow their businesses to help create new opportunities, increase household income, and decrease poverty by providing these services.
Position Summary: The Entrepreneurship Coordinator is a crucial team member at MAM, supporting the Community Business Academy (CBA) and Business Acceleration Services (BAS) programs. The CBA is a 12-session, 36-hour course focused on basic business planning, financial management, legal, marketing, and operations. Graduates then enter the BAS program, receiving two years of personalized coaching, technical assistance, access to capital, and goal setting to launch and grow their businesses. The coordinator will collaborate with the Innova team to enhance program delivery and impact in Houston, manage and innovate program activities, and ensure the achievement of strategic goals to provide entrepreneurs with lasting success. They will also support recruitment efforts, including candidate evaluation and selection, to ensure the program enrolls high-potential entrepreneurs positioned for growth.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities – CBA English & Spanish:
• Research, contact, and build relationships with current and new community partners.
• Develop and execute promotional and outreach strategies for annual Fall/Spring Info sessions.
• Partner with the Innova and Development Teams to support CBA recruitment campaigns.
• Participate in community events to promote the CBA English & Spanish programs.
• Plan, prepare, and organize materials for all English and Spanish CBA classes.
• Monitor on-site CBA classes (English and Spanish) for quality control, prepare materials, and track students'
information and paperwork.
• Provide guidance on the Learning Management System (LMS) and support instructors during classes.
• Track all student-related information, including homework, contact information, classroom progress, attendance,
and business outcomes in Salesforce and ETO.
• Plan and assist in facilitating information sessions in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Director.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities – BAS:
• Support Innova CBA graduates by connecting them with Business Acceleration Services (BAS) to strengthen and
grow their businesses.
• Provide guidance to Innova graduates through a structured pathway, from initial steps to ongoing coaching and
development.
• Assist graduates in submitting the Go-Forward form to identify their needs, challenges, and goals.
• Schedule and follow up with graduates to attend the Go-Forward meeting to review the form, assess needs, and
set initial directions for the 90-Day Action Plan.
• Facilitate the scheduling of graduates with a business coach to execute the 90-Day Action Plan.
• Coordinate group and individual coaching sessions, training, workshops, and technical assistance with business
coaches, mentors, consultants, and professionals.
• Connect graduates with experienced and trusted professionals within the MAM network.

Physical Demands: Team Member activities will be performed in a traditional, climate-controlled office and they will be required to:
• Regularly talk and hear .
• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use keyboard, handle or feel objects, tools/controls and reach with
hands and arms.
• Required to have the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
