NAVIGATION SERVICES

MAM is part of a network of Navigators working in collaboration with United Way Greater Houston and other agencies in the city. The objective of the program is to support families in their journey to self-sufficiency and financial stability.

What is Navigator?

Navigators at MAM are coaches and personal guides who will work one-on-one with individuals and families, helping them in their journey to financial stability and self-sufficiency. They use a strengths-based approach to help clients to determine their goals.

They work with participants to create a roadmap to achieve their goals on their own pace. Navigators are knowledgeable about resources available internally and externally. They make important connections and referrals to services, and help address obstacles along the way, making sure participants are motivated to keep moving forward.

Who is eligible?

All individuals that are ready to start their own journey to self-sufficiency and willing to commit to work with a Navigator on their own goals.

MAM es parte de una red de Navegadores que trabajan en colaboración con United Way Greater Houston y otras organizaciones en la ciudad. El objetivo del programa es brindar apoyo a las familias en su camino hacia la estabilidad financiera y la autosuficiencia.

¿Qué es un Navegador?

Los navegadores de MAM son asesores y guías personales que trabajan uno a uno con individuos y familias, ayudándolos en su camino hacia la estabilidad financiera y la autosuficiencia. Hacen uso de un modelo basado en fortalezas para ayudar a sus clientes a definir objetivos.

Los navegadores trabajan con los clientes para crear un camino que los lleva a lograr sus objetivos respetando su propio ritmo. Poseen un amplio conocimiento de los recursos que hay disponible interna y externamente. También hacen conexiones importantes, proveen referencias a otros servicios, y ayudan a superar obstáculos que se presentan, asegurándose de mantener a los participantes motivados para seguir su camino.

¿Quién califica para este programa?

Todas las personas que estén listos para iniciar su camino hacia la autosuficiencia y estén dispuestos a comprometerse a trabajar con un Navegador en sus propios objetivos.
