Employment Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt (28-30 hours per week)

 

Job Summary

The Data Analytics Specialist supports MAM's mission by transforming data into meaningful insights that drive program effectiveness, operational efficiency, strategic decision-making, and organizational learning. This role is responsible for the related system’s administration, for maintaining data quality, producing reports and dashboards, analyzing trends, supporting grant and outcome reporting, and assisting departments in using data to measure performance and improve results while administering the system’s related.

 

The Data Analytics Specialist serves as a key resource for staff by promoting data integrity, developing reporting solutions, and helping stakeholders understand and utilize data effectively. All work is performed with the highest standards of confidentiality, accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable privacy and regulatory requirements.

 

Key Accountabilities

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Develop, maintain, and distribute recurring reports, dashboards, and scorecards for leadership, programs, and external stakeholders.

  • Collect, validate, clean, and analyze data from multiple organizational systems.

  • Monitor and ensure data quality, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.

  • Identify trends, gaps, opportunities, and performance indicators through quantitative and qualitative analysis.

  • Support grant reporting, funder reporting, outcome measurement, and program evaluation efforts.

  • Produce ad hoc reports and analyses to support operational and strategic decision-making.

  • Analyze organizational performance metrics and recommend opportunities for improvement.

  • Assist in developing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) across departments.

  • Present findings in a clear and actionable manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.


Qualifications

Required

  • Associate's degree or bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or related field.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in data analytics, reporting, business intelligence, program evaluation, system administration, or a related field.

  • Experience working with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud.

  • Microsoft Office 365 Suite

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Data Validation and Power Query

  • Experience developing dashboards and reports.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, planning, time management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex datasets.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as teamwork skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Preferred

  • Experience in a nonprofit organization.

  • Experience with nonprofit database systems.

  • Experience using Power BI.

  • Experience with SAP BusinessObjects (Web Intelligence).

  • Basic knowledge of SQL.

  • Experience supporting grant reporting and outcomes measurement.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate and workflow automation tools.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain seated and work at a computer for extended periods.

  • Frequent use of keyboards, monitors, and other office equipment.

  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.


Working Conditions

  • Primarily an indoor office environment.

  • Hybrid schedule may be available based on organizational needs.

  • Occasional evening or special event attendance may be required.
