Welcome to Getting Ahead, a program designed to help you to create a personal plan to break free from living paycheck to paycheck.

​

We believe that you are the expert of your own life. This program will help you analyze your finances, identify which aspects you want to improve, and figure out how to make it happen. From there, you will make plans to build your resources.

​

Beyond these personal factors, you will explore the external forces, systems, and unspoken rules that impact the world around you and how to navigate them to create change. You will gain practical knowledge, tools, and connections that will empower you to advance your life and your community.

​

One of the things that makes Getting Ahead unique is that you are not figuring it out alone. You will go through this journey with other “Investigators” in similar life situations to share experiences, discuss ideas, make discoveries, support each other, and problem-solve ways to strengthen yourself and your mentality.

You will receive:

  • $25 gift card per session;

  • Additional financial incentives for completing all twenty sessions;

  • Workbook, other materials, and resources.

 

Requirements:

  • Access to the internet (all classes are held online via Zoom);

  • Must not be in crisis (contact our staff if you are unsure);

  • Relatives or relations of any participants cannot participate in the same class;

  • Commit to fully participate and complete all sessions.

Creemos que tú eres el experto en tu propia vida. Este programa te ayudará a analizar tus finanzas, identificar qué aspectos quieres mejorar y encontrar la manera de lograrlo. A partir de ahí, harás planes para fortalecer tus recursos.

 

Más allá de estos factores personales, explorarás las fuerzas externas, los sistemas y las reglas no escritas que influyen en el mundo que te rodea, y aprenderás a navegar estos desafíos para generar cambios. Adquirirás conocimientos prácticos, herramientas y conexiones que te darán el poder de avanzar en tu vida y en tu comunidad.
